Funnily enough I suppliment my dslr with the TZ6! Great for stringing together panarams! I'll take my canon with 55-250 EF IS lense to the park though and camp out by a kicker before wavin' my mate down! Lens Hood essential! That said, if you want to get riding shots, only a dslr will cut it whether in the park or camped out half way down a red, cuz you just can't catch the action in the same way (5 frames a second on mine!) nor can you zoom in and out with such precision.
Still the TZ7 is in my mind the best point and shoot on the market, it'll be great for landscape too, and if like the TZ6, check out the film grain mode for portaits!
