Hi all, I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations/opinions on the above - burger bars/pizzerias etc. Any off the beaten track gems in the town itself that would be worth knowing about?

Looking for the cheapest and best places!

Take it easy.

get a kebab from La Grignotte - opposite the Cavern/Buddha (or what ever they call Buddha now - think its the Tibetan Cafe or something)

only about 6 euros, massive amount of food, and nothing like a kebab in the UK; it actually tastes nice!

or head to the Burger Place over the road from the Pleney lift station; does exactly what it says on the tin!

cheapest option by far is to head to Champion and make it yourself though!

That covers the cheapest places. The best places imo are La Flamme which is by the Super M gondola and Chaudanne which is on the bottom road out of town just a bit past Sherpa. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.

Mels cafe which is behind the Crepu Bar in Town - double cheese burgers are the best in Western Europe. also doing happy hour pints for 3 euros.
Mammas Takeaway on the hill to Dixie Bar great for fish n chips, noodles and daily specials.
On the hill - Hotel Schuss at the botom of the red run down to Chatel Linga, the 2 restaurants at the bottom of Mossettes Chair are great for butties as long as your forearm for less than 4Euros.
L'Etale is a good safe bet for food and great atmosphere in town for a night out - try their butchers platter or all you can eat hot stone ( pierre chaud )
La Rositas restaurant over in the Les Gets bowl at the top of La Rosta chair.
If you want something special for you mountain food then Chez Nanon on the Nyon mountain but you have to book and expect a lairy run down at the end of the day.
Also La Terrace in the goat village.

Hope this helps, and if you discover Robbos then don't drink pints on your first visit!!!
