Ok, so nothing in here to trouble the freestyle crowd, and no jumps, but just a bit of film put together by yours truly, a 12 days a year punter.

Will promise to try harder next time out....in 2011

Camera used is mainly a "Helmet Hero HD", and edited in Final Cut Express. iSenseven fans may recognise the track

Very nice!
Got to say i like the time lapse bit at the start, as all good snowboard films have a sequence like that somewhere
Sport hurts so play hard or go home.

Cracking video mate, I watch a lot of snowboard vids on youtube and yours is one of the best ones I've seen, never heard of the band but I did like the tune, the riff reminded me of Billy Idol's 'White wedding' though...(not a bad thing).

Good to see unique viewpoints rather than just from the helmet....(just realised how that sounds!)

How was St Foy? I saw an article in a magazine about taking families there and we're looking at taking my 6 year old for his first time there....

Joe.
We've gone on holiday by mistake... are you the farmer???

hi Joe,

thanks for the compliments. this trip was me & my wife, and she's still learning so whatever footage i took had to be of me, by me!

i know what you mean about all the helmet-cam stuff. it gets a bit samey, so i tend to hand-hold all my footage.

St Foy is a really great place to go, and is ideal for the youngsters starting out. The nursery stuff is free (two magic carpets serving a small to medium area around the bottom lift), and the weekly adult passes are ok (paid 300 euros for two adults incl. carre niege).

St Foy website

It is gradually becoming more popular, but overall, still pretty quiet by big resort standards. Rarely if ever have to queue for lifts. No Hotels at St Foy Station (the main bit around the bottom lift), so all accom is via the tourism office website, or wherever you can find online.

St Foy Pics

We've been about 4 times in the last two or three years, and really like the place. I do avoid the school holidays tho', so can't comment on what its like then.

We'll be back out in early Jan 2011, and maybe again in March. If you get any snowfall, the inbounds off-piste is great

thanks bob. it was about two coffee's worth while i sat waiting for mrs -=JK=-. About 20 mins or so i'd imagine. Put my board on its side & put the camera on a gorillapod (flexi tripod) & left it to run.

Same with the La Rosierie sunset at the end, gorillapoded the camera onto the balcony & left it until the sun had set.

glad you liked it. had hoped to do some off-piste footage, but the snow was bad There's always next time
