The movie "POP" by Absinthe films has a lot of powder/heli/through trees etc. They went to AK and there are some steep ass slopes!

Another shout for Pop!

The Alaska section is probably one of my favourite parts from any movie I've seen.
Here it is... though unfortunatly it cuts off before Romain comes in and starts charging off the kickers they've built, with some cool little jump cuts.

The music is perfect though, and the floaty follow cam of Nico at the beginning... well if that doesn't make you just want to drop what you are doing and go ride straight away, I don't know what else will!

Has anyone seen "Deeper" yet?

Just been checking out Marco Seffredi as I have just downloaded "perfect moment". Marco was the first person to Snowboard Everest. Went back there in 2002 to do it in better Snow condition's. He reached the summit without the aid of Oxygen set of on his board and has never been seen since.

Tribute to Marco here. Very core rider. Marco Riding

Just watched that, and I've also watched the show that the BBC run, maybe on BBC4 about Everest and the various teams that try and Summit each year. You see on there just how dangerous it is, and how many people die each year. So to try and come down on a set of skis or a snowboard is not a great idea.

I'm not really sure what to think about this guy. Death or serious injury wasn't just a chance, it was very likely. A lot of it didn't even look like fun, more that it was the case of being the first to make that descent, rather than doing it because it was a really great mountain to ride. I'd imagine he then got tied up in seeking out the thrill of doing more and more ridicolous descents.

So on one hand I kind of see that it was probably his dream, so fair enough, but had he known it was going to kill him would that still be the case? The other part of me just thinks he's an idiot.

Indeed playing in the danger zone is kind of asking for it. However the clip of the Everest decent in the link is from his first go and the conditions then were better for climbing and not so for Snowboarding. On the 2nd go Marco stands at the top of the world with a 40 Deg face of pow, He rides of at speed plumes of powder hanging in the air (the kind of riding we can all relate to), then he disapears from view. Then that's it. Couldn't find that particular clip on youtube unfortunately.

Yeah, I'd imagine that there possibly isn't a clip of his final descent, as it sounds like it was a bit of a rush in the end, as he didn't wait for a working radio, he just did it because it was the perfect conditions and clearly the only time he could do it.

Just read the full article here on Transworld, very good read.

I do wonder what happened to him though.
I'm sure a lot of his family and friends will always be wondering that.

That's It, That's All. From what I remember.

Some great bits in here, still don't know how he got out of that avalanche.

First Decent. End Of.

Again, great film.

Other than that going to have to have a hunt around to find the others people have mentioned. My library is seriously lacking from the looks of things!

Definitely 'That's it That's All', it's pretty much all they ride with some enormous backcountry kickers, fantastic film, my favourite snowboarding movie of all time.

I think you need to borrow my DVD collection Ady.

Lines / Best of TB Series / Let it Ride should all be watched to show some big lines and the history of the sport and some of it's greats.
