I just bought one. Just had to share that.
Demoed it at MK and loved it, so had to buy one (and I wasn't planning a new board this year... oops) Very excited to ride it in Tignes next week now.
got it from snowboards4u (formerly e-depot), good service and quick delivery from Phil.
that is all. |

Never ridden a zep so can't really comment on a comparison.
My old board is a cambered Rome Agent, which was great. The slayblade just felt more stable straight lining it and more "fun", can't really describe why. I put it down to the flat base, but just guessing really, it is also noticeably lighter. I knew I liked it, and that was good enough for me. Yet to ride it on a real mountain though. |

Zeps are a solid ride nothing they can't do and i'd have one again no question.
The Slayblade has moved forward with new tech but when you ride it, its not as far away from traditional camber as other reverse camber decks ( its flat not rocker ).
What's being started here Stu an owners club ? haha.. |

Hello.
I am after some advice.
I have a k2 zeppelin (last model) which I damaged and luckily is covered by the manufacturers warranty.
I would have loved another zeppelin - however they have been given the boot.
I have been told by k2 to take my pic from the 2010/11 range which is not out yet but I have found a link to the new range
http://www.snowboardingforum.com/boards/23344-2011-k2-snowboards-preview-catalog-scans.html
I love the look of the zeppelin so this gives you an idea of what graphics I like.
I do not have to pay for the new board so I am tempted to just take the K2 Zero as its the most expensive. But am I getting the best board?
The Slayblade seems to beat the ZERO in customer reviews.
This is the situationn.
I am allowed to keep my k2 zeppelin which is a 163 wide. The K2 zero comes in 162 (Standard width) and the K2 Gyrator comes in 162 (standard width). The Slayblade comes in the 163 wide.
I have a dilema of which new board I should choose from the K2 2011 range which can be viewed at the link above.
I have size 12 thirty two boots which have a little hangover on my Zeppelin but I have never noticed any problems with this. Should I pick the slayblade which replaces my zeppelin as it is the same size OR should I pick the Zero or the Gyrator (or any other model you could recommend) which would give me an alternative board which is a little smaller, 1inch, and a little narrower.
Please help. I have to decide by ASAP. |

What i'd call a luxury problem mate choosing a new one gratis.
Thing with any online review is not many people will say " i've bought this for a load of cash and its a fcuking minger " whatever your looking at. Ideally you need to ride zero camber before you go for it ( Slayblade/Believer ) as next years 0 is Zero camber too.
I tried the Slayblade and liked how it rode, so got one. I'd say mid flex all mountain charger with good dampening, my opinion ,but do still enjoy my cambered boards.
Grill off here might be worth an ask though as he's probably ridden the 10/11 decks already. |

OK. Thanks for your reply Howdy.
I think I will go for the slayblade. You mentioned you have used a Zeppelin. How would you compare the two boards?
Also how do I talk to grill?
Cheers

The Gyrator is pow only so not a very good replacement. Next years Slayblade is identical except that it uses the 0 base which is faster. With size 12 dogs you should be on a wide and there's no way you'll fit a 0 without massive toe drag. If you wanted something more playful you could always go for a Turbo Dream.
I loved my Slayblade (RIP) and it will be replaced by a 0 next year as I've been missing proper stiff board since I sold my Dreamraider. |

get a wide and get a board for what you wanna ride, the gyrator and slayblade are for different things as already mentioned
the easy option would be to buy the slayblade, the 10/11 graphics are sick and the reviews for the 09/10 are all good, plus it's the replacement for the zep so less to think about |
