Hi,

Anyone here ridden both a Flagship and a Hovercraft/Ultracraft from Jones?

My Flagship was stolen at the end of last season so I'll be looking to replace it. I've seen some good deals on the Hovercraft and Ultracraft but it's a long time until I can test one.

I never ride switch and basically stick to piste and piste accessible off piste. I loved how good the Flagship was in powder and chopped up powder and also how responsive it was on piste. It looks like the Ultracraft especially should be just the same, anyone have any experience?

I guess I'm hoping that the missing tail from the Flagship won't affect me as I don't ride switch and don't do tricks..??

Thanks.

I'll tell you something though, I'm thinking of getting a Skeleton Key for next season which also has a missing bit in the tail. It sounds like what I'm looking for but I do like to ride switch sometime (can be useful at times off piste). I do have other boards that I take with me so not a big issue overall.

Thanks for the reply, it is very quiet on here at this time of year...

You've got me thinking now, quite often when I'm off piste and stopped for whatever reason I may need to start moving "backwards" on one edge just to get going again. It's not riding switch in terms of linking turns but having no tail would make that very difficult...hmmmm

Yep that's why its good to learn to ride switch to help get you moving at the least, or more importantly out of a tight spot!
