Hey just wanted to say that with level one, first year teaching, you'd prob be not be teaching all over the mountain in your first year. Your "rookie" year can be a tough one, also Level 2's and 3's will most likely be above you in the priority list. So my advice would be to get level 2, in one sport, and level1 in the other at the end of the season. That way you can be above the level 1's and teach on higher level lessons.
Have you thought about New Zealand ?

Hey, in answer to your question this is me experience:
The NZSIA - (SBINZ) is recognised in NZ, Austrailia, Canada, USA, Andora, Japan - not sure on Italy,
France is a bit of no go unless you BASI. Most of these places also take BASI and CASI. The NZSIA / SBINZ certs is recognise as a good course. I got my level 2 in nz, then Instructed there, then got my Level 3 ( aka Full Cert) then went to Canada. If you have an open work visa, or working holiday visa you can normally get a job with a resort as a Level 2. If you then do a good job, then next year they will normally sponsor you to come back. With a level 3 (BASI/CASISBINZ) you can normally get sponsored with out a visa, just with interview / cv / etc etc
Even with BASI 2 you cannot teach in France, its only the top buch of "trainers" who can get in
Rookie academy in NZ do BASI, CASI, SBINZ, CSIA and NZSIA all at one resort...and they do a dual course for level 2 ski or snowboard and then doing the other on the weekend.video of the courses and past students. http://www.rookieacademy.com |

If you got qualifed in NZ you would be working right after you finished back here in Canada (i've just finished working at Lake Louise, Banff. Heading back to NZ june 2nd, cant wait! there is snow already!
Then after you've done your first season teaching you could cash up on the pipeline next summer.
That would be my thoughts. these guys do a dual cert option so you do your main discipline through the week and get your level 2, while also doing you level 1 in your 2nd discipline. Check em out: Rookies
I made a video for a comp last year. This is The town Rookies run from.Wanaka The town Rookies run from. I've spent about 6 seasons there. Love it |
