Usher

are waxing your board after only 12 or 16 hrs use (a visit for a fridge once a week for a month)

if so, unless you love waxing you obviosly have to much time on your hands.

if i was riding once a week for a few hours then a yrs riding would be maybe 100 - 150 hrs use. based on that i would probably wax every 2 yrs.

maybe not even that often!

I go about three times a month mate one hot wax a month and a rub on wax for a refresh.

Tbh i know I'm waxing far too much but I actually enjoy waxing my board but I have calmed down on the waxing haven't waxed it at all this month.ordering a parkstar tomorrow so see how this thing holds the wax in it :D hopefully better than the score I had

You do realise the wax needs to be in the base rather than on the base?

Also - if you are using that much wax (!?) get in the habit of using bio-degradable or even organic waxes - probably not so important in snow domes (although I think all that crap will eventually make its way back into the water/ground) but if you're riding in the mountains please be aware that all those chemicals (and there's some seriously toxic stuff in the fluoro based products) go into the snow which obviously melts in the summer and goes into the earth and the water and then into the fish and animals (and then into you!) Not good

And you should also know that the flouro based wax is very bad for your health too - so if you're waxing so often you probably wont be snowboarding for much longer!

Thanks mate. My friend also recommend me to use something organic wax for my board because it has better result according to my friend.

How many hours on the snow in that week?

I go riding 2-4hrs everyday and if I use the same snowboard the whole time I'll give it a full clean & hot wax every couple of weeks(ish) depending on what sort of stuff I'm doing on the board in that time.

You'll see the edges of the base start to look pale - then it's time to wax!

This is the system I use but I'm sure others have their own tips/techniques;

saw the link. I'm new to this that's why I'm not sure if its okay to wax my snowboard often. Btw, thanks to these tips
