How do you blunt your edges?

I've got a new board in the mail and i need to blunt the edges so i don't catch my edges on rails, ant advice?

Run the file along the edges you wanna blunt, that's it really.
Not a lot of point doing it unless you're hitting street rails, imo. Be careful filing the effective edges, you don't wanna end up washing out all the time.

yes you only do it along the nose and tail down to the strait bit not all the way along the side, plus many board come already detuned

depends if its just a park board and you have no intention of ever riding it on piste. Ive never blunted the edges all the way round on any of my par boards, only proper hard core rails monkeys do that.

I find the best way to get a nice blunt edge is to euro carve down the middle of the road.

i tried that and rode strait into a lampost destroying the nose of my brand new board. But yes it definately blunted the edges

This is very easy to achieve by taking a trip to St. Anton and having a session in the Kangaruh......
