I think Marcus is psychic, or I am...
Only this morning I was looking at the site wondering if there would be a news section, similar to some form of e-zine.
The only problem is, and this is purely my opinion, is that the front page is now starting to look a bit messy with everything slapped on there. |

Cheers
New news articles will be identified in the same way as posts in the Forum etc, stat counter under Your Account section, blue icon for unread news, blue links in 'Latest News' panel etc etc...
Re the homepage, it'll probably undergo a bit of a re-jig at some point, I just needed to get the News section implemented, along with a few other bits. Once I've got the various new sections in place, the HP/layout can be reviewed. |

Drop the news section down beneath the forum bit, so the recent posts etc are above the fold. Just an idea. |

QUOTE (tomw_n - 13/10/2008 @ 12:30) Drop the news section down beneath the forum bit, so the recent posts etc are above the fold. Just an idea. Seconded. Assume there will be more turnover of these than news items, so that would be a better layout. In my opinion anyway. |

Looks cleaner than SCUK, It does need to be prominent so that ppl can see the new articles easily, but I also agree that the Forum section will get updated more frequently than the News articles section so it should have a larger more focused area. |

Sorry but I don't like the news section so far (note so far please). Seems to me that the 'news' involves different ways to get our money.
The one exception being the news topic about the new hoodies which has had about 6 times as many hit as any other topic. This to me shows that a good old forum topic is where it's at. Forum back where it belongs please. Up top at the centre of our community. All the other recent improvements have been ace. Love the video section. Gallery is super now as well. The new way to see pictures in the posts is a big favorite with my clockwork computer too. |

just a thought, i dont know how easy it would be to do, but cuold you make the home page customizable? a bit like the BBC homepage, where you can move sections about to suit yourself?!
i'd imagine its quite tricky, but may help keep everyone happy!
loving the new additions though! |

It's possible mate, and there might be an element of customisation at some point, but can't say for 100% or when yet due to the other areas of development/enhancements that I'm working on at the moment. Glad you like the new additions |
