If you've got the cash get whatever you want but don't stupidly buy any random boots just because they say Burton on them. Take your lessons nice and slow because you can piss about on the slope any other time seeing as your now allowed on it. I fully understand and get the fact that your quick off the mark, I use to skateboard, skate and surf for almost 10 years and everyone still said it would be hard to pick up. I was on the board 1 hour and hitting booters and boxes. Ended up getting lessons later on and the instructor let me go at my own pace, tought me everything I need to know and let me do my own thing while keeping me on track. The lessons were well worth it just because it taught me how to work my feet and edges but other than that it was just pure confidence. Don't go wasting all your cash on a full Burton set up tho, there are a lot better boards, boots and binding out there.

Dont go Burton, much better companies out there. YES is one of them, they have great boards and the jackpot is sooooo sick. But like most other people have said, get boots first 100% most important and get someone to fit them properly. If you have comfortable boots you can ride a door down the mountain! Again like other people have suggested, demo the boards first, iv worked in a board shop all season and make everyone try something before they buy it.

Seen as no one has brought bindings up, check out Flux bindings TT30 for a stiffer binding and RK30 for a more flexible one, you will love them,

I asked about bindings a few days ago, for all mountain riding, was recommended the Union Force, are these comparable to the Flux's?

I don't ride forces but I do ride the cOntacts and can say that I really like the feedback I get off them and there also classed as a all mountain/freestyle binding and also have a lifetime guarantee on heel loop and base plate as all the union line does.

I was looking at the flux bindings and I live them buy that plastic toe cap puts me off a little I suppose I'd need to test them to see how they were

Unions are very good bindings, personally i think flux's are as good but its about how you ride and what you prefer, if they are your first binding its kind of a test run. Whichever you buy will work and will get used to theres nothing so much better about one than the other. If you can demo them then defo do it
