Does anyone know of anywhere in the Midlands area where I can get a decent repair for a nice big dent in one of my edges.

I may consider TSA but given the quality of their wax jobs in the past I'm a little worried that the repair will be a quality one.

TSA did an excellent job of a couple of dents and scrawps in the second-hand board I bought last year. They gave it a stone grinding and wax (which seems good to me) for the sum of £35.

Check yell.com in your local area to see if there's anywhere else.

It's going to need a new piece of edge putting in. I guess each TSA branch has their own good or just ok repairers. I dont mind paying a little extra for a quality repair.

Isn't there a Ski/Board workshop somewhere in Nottingham that does repairs or runs maintenance techie courses ? I could have swear I read something on here in or in a Whitelines maggo about tthis but I cant find it now ?

Think Noahs Ark in Stroud used to do Cider, Sausages and waxing nights.

Heh,heh,heh ! thanks for that Pete, I like the sound of the Cider and Sausages !

I think I may have found the place in Notts, its Jons Ski Tuning. It doesn't say on there website if they do repairs so I dropped them a mail. The reply says "gone skiing - back in after 10th Jan" - no suprise there then.

I'll keep looking but I might pay Boardwise Cannock a visit this weekend to see what they say.

Figured out where I saw the name, it was on - ahem !! SCUK ?? (spits out)

Someone wanted to go on one of their ski techie courses. Think I also saw something in the Whitelines gear guide too.

Finally got my board repaired at Boardwise - Cannock.

They gauged out all of the old ptex and other base material, put some expoxy in the hole and then a layer of ptex over the top and then waxed the whole thing. ALL FOR JUST £10.00.

They did a cracking job on it and it looks almost as good as new. Big up to the guys down there.
