Looks quite old to me mate - not seen graphics that plain for a while but then again some of the entry level boards are quite plain - helps to keep costs down, so it could be newer than it appears.

More importantly: How long has it been ridden for? How hard? What is it's condition, both base and top sheet?

If it's been ridden hard for a season (longer than say 3months) then I would stay clear as it might have lost some of it's flex/board characteristics. This is what is generally termed a 'dead' board. If it's only been ridden by a begginner for a couple of weeks then it will be fine assuming it isn't gouged to pieces! Hope that helps.

Yeah i agree it looks pretty old to me, Check the flex and the rails.
I like older boards, i've been riding a old board i got from a boot sale for a while.
It depends on your style of riding.
There are some really cheap set ups about keep looking if it not right.

The problem with old boards is that after continuous use the board begins to lose it's original properties like the boards 'flex' as the wood in the base begins to warp. This makes it difficult for the rider to flex the board in the way that they want as the board doesn't respond in the manner that it should. So for example, when you pedal to start a turn you cause the board to flex along it's length, with one half edging on one side and the rear edging on the opposite. If the board has lost some of it's original character this flex might occur more and in a less controllable manner, as the base flexes in a way it shouldn't. This is why old boards that have been ridden hard are referred to as 'dead'. Because they don't do what they should - burn it, bury it, sleep with it if that's your thing - but avoid them as regardless of your riding style, it won't be that fun!
