Hi

I have managed to save up enough and work is giving me 2 months off, good times!

Now the actual working out how to do a half season is kicking in.

I am either going to work for a friend doing airport runs once a week in return for freeboard or just stay at a hostel. But the lift pass is concerning me.

How do you get a season pass and do they do ones to cover just 2 months? Cheapest options really.

Looking to stay in either Morzine or Val Thorens ( Or nearby )

Can any one recommend any good Hostels there?

Also does anyone know if i need any sorta of visa or similar if I want to stay in France for 2 months? ( I am a British Citizen etc )

Thanks in advance

Matt

With season passes you'll generally find that the price difference between 1 month and a whole season isn't that big but that depends where you go. You may end up buying a season pass. Then again you might end up staying longer than 2 months

I can't speak for accomodation in those areas but no, you won't need a VISA to live and work in France.

Hi Matt,
Season pass for Val T is about 700euro and just under 1000euro for a Three Valley pass. A workers Pass is about 430euro but there is no discount for workers on the Three Valley pass. There is a deal though that if you buy a 1 valley pass you can book 10 Three Valley extensions for about 120euro which is a great deal.
Not sure about other resort prices, hope this helps.

Season passes for Morzine last year were 760euros but if you bought before the 19 Dec they went down to 646euros. In all honesty, this is a gleaming deal as a 14 day lift pss is 364euros.

Even though I'm not going until Jan, I'm buying my season pass before 19 Dec this year! You can do it online or just call them direct. Check out this link (last years prices but a good guide):

i guess it could depend when you were thinking of going....

im not sure but if you were thinking of going later in the season you could look to see if they offer spring passes. tend to become available from about late feb/march time until end of season. but that is canada. when i went out to do my lev 2 in banff it was cheaper for me to get a spring pass then 2 weeks worth of lift tickets. but i did manage to swindle that one as i knew all the guys working in the shop ect and blag i was a local
