Hey peps,

I am going to cervinia in 3 weeks I cant wait!

I am wondering if i should buy a helmet or not! I have a force field back protector, RED impact shorts and protec IPS wrist guards

My mate has a helmet and swears by it, but he goes a lot faster and crazier than me

Why buy and use all that other protection and not have a helmet?

some would say if you dont know why your head needs protecting then there's nothing in it to protect!

if you break an arm, a leg, a shoulder etc your out of action for a few months.
bust your head and your wearing a nappy and being spoon fed.

your choice really...

if you value your arse more than your brain then its probably not worth protecting

I think as a service to everyone on GB, you need to let us all know when your mrs snowboarding next! Does she not get chill blains?

I wear a lid if I'm going to spend a lot of time in the park, but more often than not I tend only to where a beanie on my nug when exploring the range. I'm not trying to sound arrogant but I've been riding for quite a while and I know my limits. The only times I've taken a knock to my head is when I have wearing a lid, maybe it's time to invest in a new lighter weight model.

Up to you, you decide. If you think it's worth saving then go for it. If you do, make sure your goggles fit.

Chop your spine protector in for a helmet. Honestly.

As a beginner last year, I took a tumble going a bit faster than I should have been and hit the snow with the back of my lid with such force, that the lens in my goggles smashed. Admittedly my goggles were on my lid rather than my face.

So yeah, protect your melon.

Edit: Coincidentally, my profile picture was taken just minutes after that tumble.

Keep the spine protector.

I now ride with just lid and back protector for protection, when starting I had wrist guards too, but have stopped using them now as the way I fell didn't impact the wrists (more slides rather than front/rear edge catches)

If you're in the park proect your arse and wrists too.

As said before by mini I'd rather not take the risk of being fed through a tube.

I got a force field sportlite 1 for £50 new plus I like having my bag with me
