According to a mate of mine spending a season in tignes this year brass monkeys have been looking for welders all weekend.

f*cking cold, I find that a technical base layer, t-shirt and fleece under jacket handles it pretty well. Remember there will more than likely be wind chill bringing it down a few more degrees too. Add to that your own speed generated chill factor and you're talking about a fairly b*llock retreating temperature.

Wrap up is what I'd say!
I am in shape! Round is a shape!!

when we picked up our hire car today at chambery it broke down after 1/2mile, limped it back to the airport and got it swapped, it has only been tonight afer exchanging tales with the locals who say that it was probably the diesel freezing (waxing) that caused it - there has been an unprecidented spate of breakdowns today with the same issue

like i said in an earlier post - fookin cold, it's okay tho as today was meant to the the coldest with temps picking up to a max of -8 degrees on tues / weds - yippe bring on the shorts and vest tops

In val d'Isere - Really cold with freezing fog in places yesterday (4th) - not pleasant!!!
Warmer today with clear blue skies. Single merino base layer enough for me!

...plus jacket / pants of course!!!

there were a lot of visitors in les houches this weekend for the downhill, drove past on saturday night and it was a graveyard of broken down vehicles with loads of pickups coming and going!

Sunday was a lot more pleasent, although todays really cold again
