Hi,
Is there anywhere to get a long weekend, maybe a week, mid / end of April?? Or have I missed the boat at that stage?
If anyone is planning a trip of some sort or has any info let me know |

Realistically, whats the snow like then? I've never gone out that late before? Should be better this year anyway as it seems much colder than usual for the time of year |

Tignes is perfect till mid May, ive been last weekend in April for several years now and its always dumped fresh while i've been there. Historically they have more fresh snow fall in April than they do in March. |

Ermmmm well i don't have a crystal ball and you never can tell what weathers going to do on any given day but no in general it's the opposite, its sunny and slushy in April but as i said below it often dumps fresh snow then as well. |

It is yeah. It's a bus ride up to Le Lac lifts that late in the season as the lowers slopes down to Boisses and Breviers are usually pretty ropey by then. You can ride it but its not really worth as as its only ten minutes on the bus. |

For other places check the closing dates.
I've ridden Tignes/Val in late April and had 10cms of fresh and no one else on the slopes.
I usually go somewhere at the end of April as they tend to have demos and bands and stuff at that end of the season. You can't say what the conditions will be like any more than any other time of course. If it's raining then I'd stay home, same as any other time. |
