Hey
Some info on thread here.
I was massively disappointed with it last year but I am told that was because I went on the 'wrong' day. Don't let me put you off though, think there is quite a crowd from GB going so go and meet some new faces! |

Personally I thought that last year was awesome! Much better than it's inaugural year but that was the warmest Oct in years! I went on a Sat both years for the FIS comp. Not a huge number of Brit riders but usually one or two amongst some pretty huge names from around the world. Standard of riding was wrong on all sorts of levels - had to stomp a solid 9 or 10 just to make the finals! Addition of daytime events last year was really good like Martin Ashton and Co doing mountain bike triials. Some really good music as well with Calvin Harris playing a great set on the decks of steel! Get yourself along - snowboarding, boozing and generally a pretty funky time! |

I disagree, Calvin Harris was rubbish last year. His set never really went anywhere, he kept playing a build up that didn't go anywhere. Really dissapointing.
The actual festival is alright though, I quite enjoyed it. I would go again if I wasn't heading to Canada. |

Definitely worth heading to with a bunch of mates. its at least a good excuse for a booze up and gets you in to the snowboard vibe for winter. |

I went last year. I was working taking tickets in the evening which I regret as thats when the party social life kicked in! There were some good bands and a great atmosphere. Was great watching the riders during the day too.
Also if you want a discount on tickets my signature tells you how! |

I'm hopefully heading to Freeze Festival and some snow sport shows in the UK next month. It's for fun and for research purposes regarding the Snowboarding Market in the UK.
Ha anyone got ny suggestions on which events would be best to go to... best vibe, best sponsors, best atmosphere.... or any other comments/opiniones ... well that would be awesome!
Thanks in advance! Sarah... |

Because nothing says "the season is here" quite like standing on a bit of wasteground in London, in the rain, paying £7 for a hotdog with everybody dressed like they are riding backcountry in Canada.
Go on Saturday if at all as most people enjoy it it seems. The problem with Freeze is that it is too long and too expensive. |

A few of us have tickets for the saturday, and are really looking forward to it as we didn't manage to make it last year. Might not be able to get there before mid-afternoon though so was wondering what time the FIS Big Air stuff starts and does it run all night? |

Qualifiers start pretty much as soon as the doors open. The final was around around 6-7pm the first year I went. |
