Things look like they might pick up this week and resorts in France should see some snow which will help with getting a base down in time for their opening dates. Have a look at this thread for how things are shaping up. |

No, no season for me - unfortunately, my days of doing seasons are behind me, i'm in the real world of working for a living.....and having to pay to go out and board.....
We're going with www.skibeat.co.uk and will be in resort from the 8th January - if your around, look out for the group of 12 - 70's/80's US style cops on one of the nights!!! be sure you don't get arrested tho' I don't work or this bar, but can't help givin' it a plug - happy hours from 4 - 7pm and you can bet your bottom euro, we'llbe there!! Just ask for SHU Snowboarders or me Bods...... 8weeks to go!!! |

More snow in La PLagne if you are checking on the conditions, they are looking to be open by the 4th Dec. They are manufacturing snow for fun at the moment what with the low temperatures en all. Bodes welll.

Hi there!
I recon the best bet is to head into the centre and warm up in the Christina (big Mark Warner hotel, most of the seasonaires hang out there) and then hit the Luna bar, they're open till about 1 or 2 (if I remember correctly). If you fancy carrying on, then get the free taxi to La Saloon back up to Belle Plagne which is open till about 3 or 4, and is well worth the comic chuckle (the door man looks like Steven Segal in a cowboy hat). :p
I'll see you out there!

Yeah, from what I remember the Luna bar is really cool. The Christina was absolutely packed when we went but it was bar crawl night. Quite fun trying to get round La Plagne without having to go outside when pissed as well, full of tunnels linking the different hotels, shops up.
