Wildebeest,

I just had to thank you for providing DPD depot address. The other thing is to realise that I was not being unduly irritated. I too spent ages on the phone trying to get their depot location. The automated voice said SE1. Well I could walk to the closest bit of SE1 in 7 minutes. But sods law the depot could be at the most extreme end of SE1 ! Not convenient if one wanted to collect a big parcel.

So, thought lets try their website. Even worse. "Your closest depot is Southwark" Southwark is perhaps one of the longest councils in London stretching over several postcodes!

Now I see that other people have had the same problems. Absolutely astonishing!!!

Thanks anyway for your help.

Just wanted to say thanks, it has saved me some headache for sure. Never seen before a delivery company that sends a delivery warning 2 hours before delivery on a working day, and expects you to be there waiting for them..

Hey you're lucky. I was told they would send me a text on the day of delivery with a one hour window of when the parcel would be delivered. Brilliant I thought, I can get home from work within an hour and won't have to take the whole day off of work. They sent the text saying "your parcel is due for delivery beween 09:49 and 10:49" at................. 09:48! Absolutely pointless. Waited in on the rescheduled date expecting an hour window text, got a message saying "your parcel is scheduled for delivery between 08:00 and 18:00". WTF?!!?.
Was looking for the depot address so I can collect it from them if they muff up again, Thanks Wildebeest

What a waste of time that company is! DPD Next Day - if you're in Aberdeen or shire, it won't come on the day it's meant to. It'll be a day later since they don't like delivering. They won't tell you that it's a 2 day service, oddly enough.

My phone was meant to be delivered today, since I'm going on Holiday tomorrow. Spent all day waiting for it, to find that they had "held" the parcel. I phoned to find why, and they said that Aberdeen is out of the way and it's a 2 day delivery instead of the next day. The only options they could think of was:
a) leave a note to say they could leave it with a neighbour (being where i am, i have none of them)
b) I could go to Aberdeen and pick it up. Yeah, and hit lovely rush hour traffic all the way home.
or c) I could get them to deliver it another time during the week. I'M ON BLOODY HOLIDAY YOU MORONS!

Yeah... DPD aren't my best friends right now...

Dammit. I forgot that www.scan.co.uk use DPD for their courier service. A "short" drive to Leicester after work tomorrow.

QUOTE (spam666 - 26/02/2010 @ 08:53)

PDP fair play to them seem to employ a lot of care in the comunity staff as they don't seem to be able to find my address and have confused the people who's door they've apparently put their calling card through. Please make sure they send the delivery drivers helper with them. :0).

Totally agree with you, been waiting for 3 weeks to get snow tyres delivered to an address 30 mins from them, keep checking the tracker and they have tried to deliver twice (aye right) but tracker says "wrong address", IT'S NOT. It's a unit on an industrial estate. Keep trying to phone them, engaged/rings out. ggrrrrrr

Seriously, thanks for this, got the message on the tracker to say address not found, and yet I live in an easy place to find, (I can't pick it up from the depot as its an hour drive away) so called the depot and challenged if the driver had even tried to find my address - he had my phone number too! They checked the GPS of the driver for the day and he'd not been anywhere near where I live!!!!

When I first called they wouldn't let me change the address to where I work (had to be done through the website ordered from), and I didn't have a calling card number to change it on their site. Well once they realised it was their fault they let me change it and even called me back with a new tracking number. So fingers crossed for tomorrow. But hope I don't have to use them again.

  #29  DPD depot list - still invaluable, thanks!  Posted 30/09/2011 @ 21:20
Just to say "Thank you!" for this depot list. It is still proving invaluable long after the original DPD depot list was posted. I can confirm that the number for Park Royal depot still works fine on 30/9/11.

Dec 2011 and it's still the same, thanks to this I managed to ring local depot so big christmas
Driver went to a house over a mile away saying oh I have an old sat nav!! Had messages yesterday saying it was coming yesterday - when I wanted it today!! They sent text today at 0949 saying it was coming between 0800 - 1200, auto phone service said 0700 - 2000.
Had I not rung I would not of got parcel today, mind you it has not arrived yet and trying to give driver directions was a little difficult.

House has been here since 1200's sure his sat nav is not older than doomesday book!!!
