  #1  Document Snowboard?  Posted 12/03/2010 @ 09:22
Hi all,

sorry if this is in the wrong category, didn't know beat place to put it.

Basically I'm subscribed to snowboard document and this month instead of getting that through the post I got a, "fall line ski and snowboard magazine". I know that fall line make the magazine, but I wasn't aware that they were merging the two magazine into one, or I'm guesiing there soon that from the magazine i got.

I presume other people have for this, this week! Am I right in thinking that they have put ski and snowboarding into 1 mag? If so I ain't going to renew my subscription next year I don't want to know about skiing, I'd I did I'd buy a skiing mag! (Plus I much prefer whitelines anyway and was gonna cancel it anyway)

cheers

Document has closed unfortunately. It might come back again in the future, but I think it's unlikely to be back next season. I doubt if they'll include snowboarding into Fall Line... They would have just sent you that to honour the number of issues the agreed to send as part of your subscription.

Partly right, document has closed but it's merged with falline which should now be 50% board 50% ski

Yeah who knows how it will work as you're now paying the same price for half as many pages, unless you're into ski as well. Half Is better then nothing I guess. Apparently the rest of the content is going online.

Yup - both SUK and Document have now bitten the dust leaving Whitelines as the last snowboarding-only print UK mag.

Thanks for quick reply guys.

I wasn't aware of all that, right well I'll just cancel it then, coz like u said I'll be getting leas than have the snowboard info as normal (there is hardly any snowboard info in the mag iv been given). Like I said I much prefer whitelines anyway, so it's not end od the world. Shame that a snowboard related company has gone bump :-(

thanks again

Was going to do a thread about the change but then couldn't be arsed.

Basically crap, we don't need another Daily Mail Ski & Board, which I occasionally read after the three snowboard mags.

Yeah, because I much prefer Onboard to Whitelines.

No. Just stating a fact.

Standard of writing in Whitelines is really poor.

Each to their own Karl - but IMO Whitelines has the highest standard of writing and design of the snowboard mags - and it's fair to say that it deserves to be the one still standing.

Although I haven't looked at Onboard for some time - so perhaps that's improved lately.

The editor says at the beginning they've added "the juiciest bits" of Document to Fall-Line. The sizing of the fonts in the title would suggest it's not half and half either, sadly (for us, anyway!).
