Hi everyone,
I'm pretty new to the site and getting back into boarding after about 12 years away, hence have a fair bit of kit to buy!
In respect of this, does anyone know if there are any discount schemes for site members, please?

Many thanks
Rich

The trouble with TK Maxx is that the technical outerwear is generally not up to scratch which is why they are able to buy it in so cheap and sell it way cheaper than anywhere else. Surfanic stuff is cheap anyway but technically its sound!!

If youre wanting new threads though check out www.westbeach.com they've just gone into a 50% off sale on all 09/10 stock and 60% or more off past season stock! Ive just bought a pika jkt in yellow, it was like £65! looks so good. boom! theres a size chart on there too so you can figure out what size your after. westbeach products tend to be a little bit bigger cut that most brands with a bit more length to give a reallllyyyyyy nice shape to them.

but yeah definately check it out, theres a fair bit on there and this seasons kit was by far some of the nicest.

let us know how you get on.

They actually had some Westbeach stuff in TK Maxx this season... I think one of the jackets I saw was even current season which is a bit odd. And it was MUCH cheaper. Annoyingly they only had insulated jackets which wasn't what I was after.

That's rubbish, the tech is the same as if you'd purchased the exact same jacket in any other store. they're generally the stuff that hasn't sold, so they bulk buy in at reduced costs, generally last seasons stuff. You'll end up with stuff that was either not that popular or that they just manufactured too much of. They have lots of good stuff, seen Westbeach, Nike ACG goretex, Surfanic, Sessions etc. The only thing to be wary of is the stuff that you don't recognise, even then it doesn't necessarily mean it's bad.
Dick Dastardly was right, don't just stand there, do something

T K Maxx mate is quality for cheap gear, if you have the time to spend having a good root around. Just bagged myself a pair of Nike ACG gore-tex pants for a whopping £15 (terrible i know ), they are in an XL but thats nothing that a belt won't sort out. Have also in the past got an ACG jacket for £30, a Volkl Jacket for £30 (rrp £160) and some Trespass pants for £12. Defo worth a look to save some of your hard earned.
