Hi All,

My girlfriend pointed out that my bindings don't go with my board. She's exactly right so I think I might spray them black as they're mostly black already. Has anyone else on here done this and have any recommendations for spray paint??

My bindings don't match my board.

Hi All,

My girlfriend pointed out that my bindings don't go with my board.

There is a lot wrong with this statement... I'm not sure I can break it down in one post...

Why not go the whole hog and spray the bindings and board the same colour? That'll keep the girlfriend happy.

it might be easier to change the colour of your board - just get one nice big sticker

change your girlfriend not the bindings as the bindings are fine, but the gf is clearly an idiot!

i feel for you dude!

1) having a girlfriend who cares more about the "look" rather than the performance can get frustrating (i have one and its taken a LONG time to convince her that boots should be bought on the basis of comfort not the pretty colours)

2) to have you balls hung out to dry by other guys on a forum doesnt help....

BUT:

they've got a point.... its your equipment and you're the one who's gotta ride it, not her

i find the technique of suggesting the most god-awful combinations of colours and patterns to wind them up... then pretending to "go half and half" and end up with your original choice anyway can be a usefull technique when chosing stuff.....but thats couple stuff like bedding and curtains or dinner plates... unfortunately i agree with the other chaps... it's not up to her (unless she's paying for it haha)

Revision #1 (Last edited: 04/02/2010 @ 12:35)
personally i fear that the OP was the one who was noticing the "colour clash" and then used the "girlfriend" route to pass the buck...... but in doing so ended up getting more flak than the other way around

shame on you.... for your cunning plan backfired MR Giles.....or should i say MR Lewellyn Bowen..lol

i bet the girlfriend knows nothing of this whoile escapade and is sitting a home now saying "Bindings, what are bindings??"
