so, i'm a beginner and startedto learn this year in chamonix. now i've got the chance to tag along on a holiday to Cervinia with some skiers. anybody know what it's like for beginners and is it any good?

Yeah, its great for beginners I went a few weeks ago and it was tops except for 2 much snow....

I would deffo go... nice wide runs.. and there is a 22km run which is good fun..

depends when you go i guess. i was there last year in early april and it was soooooo icy

and you have to watch out for the italians in their one piece suits that still think boards don't belong on their hill!

I went there last year as a beginner. Didn't have any problems at all. Nice wide pistes to learn on. Some nice blues.

Just take loads of money if you want too drink! It seems to have inherited the Swiss prices!

Cervinia would be a great place for you to go.
The slopes are generally high,snowsure and pretty gentle as well as wide.
Virtually everything is above the tree line so wind can be a problem (not that often).
Compared with Zermatt Cervinia is drab but it is certainly worth visiting.
Have a day over the top on the Klein Matterhorn sector of Zermatt where the runs are long,very wide and gentle and great for increasing confidence. .
Grab the chance and get out there. .
