Been able to bag myself a burton custom 156 2008 on ebay for just over £100 in pretty good condition.

Unfortunately i didn't get time to try the board at my local snowdome due to it ending quickly on ebay and bought it according to the recommended weight on the burton website.

Im 5"10 and weigh about 133 pounds nd was interested to see if anyone with a similar size been able to try the 156 board. Wasnt sure whether it be too big.

I'm currently searching for some bindings for it so i can give it a try, i was considering perhaps some burton mission's/customs to go with the board, any others people would recommend? looking to spend around 100 quid

Custom or Mission bindings are great - I found the Missions slightly better but personally don't think you need to spend more than the Missions. Shaun White rocks them - nuff said!

As for the board, I think you'll be fine - I'm guessing it's a couple of years old and therefore is not their V-rocker format. They are a mid flex directional twin board, good for shredding the whole mountain and I don't think that a 156 will be an issue. Actually it will be pretty good - help you maintain your speed because at 133pounds your a skinny lad aren't you??!!

You'll be fine on a 156. I weigh in at 178 lbs and I ride a 157 and have no issues whatsoever.

As for the Custom bindings, despite them being a little pricey for what they were (like most of Burtons stuff), the pair I bought did me proud. They're a good first set of bindings that lasted me well. The only problem I had was a slight tear on the toestrap which for the amount of abuse I gave them was nothing really. Oh an I still managed to sell them on Ebay and got some money back.

Yeh your board shouldnt be a problem, I ride a few 156's and 7's, im the same height. It really helps with those fast turns with a shorter sidecut.

I dont know about burton customs, but the missions and cartels are brilliant. Can't go wrong with them! They are the only pairs that havn't cracked in half or shattered on me!
