burton bindings and ride snowboard
Posted 20/07/2010 @ 12:46
I currently have a pair of Burton Lexa bindings (08/09), but want to buy the new Ride Compact. I'm not sure if my bindings are compatible with the board though?? The screws in my bindings kind of form a triangle shape (if that makes sense), so I was wondering if I need to buy some conversion discs?? Does anyone know where to get them from?? :D

The Escapades I have came with two sets of base plates - I think. I use the 4 hole discs as I've got a Nitro board .. think the Butron 3 hole ones are still in the box in the garage! Did the Lexas not have the same thing? Or I think the newer bindings (mine are a few years old now) may come with "universal" base plates that can be spun round to show either 3 or 4 holes to line up with different boards. I assume you have them on a Burton board at the moment then? If you're unsure you could take then to a local shop and check it out with the Ride boards

As iggie said.
I ride Burton Cartels on a Ride DH and my Cartels came with two sets of discs - 4x4 and 3D. My missus rides Lexas on a Gnu B-Nice and her Lexas came with only one base plate - the Universal one.
If its a universal plate you have, its easy to tell. Loads of holes and one of teh sets kinda looks like an uppercase I.
If you only have the 3D baseplate, you could always try Burton Customer Services Europe. I've had a few things sent out to me from them free of charge, I generally find their customer service excellent.
