Hi guys,
I’ve purchased a new Jones Airheart-an upgrade from my Roxy Ally. Although I’ve been riding for several years (a couple of weeks per season), I’ve never really got the hang of bindings!

When I bought the Roxy (a true twin) the shop staff set up my bindings and they remained the same ever since.

With the Air Heart, I placed the bindings to match what I’m used too (shoulder width apart, duck stance and equal distances). However I have found the Jones to be a much stiffer/aggressive board (also a Directional Twin) which when I tried it out at the indoor slope-felt a little bit uncomfortable.

Is it the case that the bindings need to be set up differently?! Thanks in advance, it might be a silly question but any advice would be great.

I think the flex of the board plays a big part in in binding setup.
I’ve a never summer sl and it feels great at 18/-18 23 inches apart.
I bought a ns proto; same size and it’s awful using the same setup, had to bring them into 15/-15 and about 21 inches for it to work.
Try decreasing the width till it feels too narrow, then increase till it’s too wide. Hopefully you’ll hit a spot that feels ok.
