I wouldn't recommend it for beginners to be honest. There are blue runs, but the run back into Laax is a red, and you have to travel up the mountain or over to Flims for something that's easy and accessible. Can always get the gondola down though I guess.

Hi, not posted before but read your question and some of the replies and thought i might be able to help. A few of the replies have mentioned Pas and Soldeu in Andorra and I've been to both a few times, in all honesty I'd recomend both, both cheap (tax free) Pas as a town is a good bit bigger than Soldeu and has plenty more Bars and shopping, it is a bit more like Blackpool on snow but everywhere has a really good atmosphere! As for the boarding Pas is Great for a mixed group (I learned there and have been back with 12 mates all different abilities) its wide open (no trees to run into!) and you can cross runs v easily
theres a great little mexican place near the main chair lift and for a decent hotel check the himalaya out it's literally a 30 sec walk to the main chair lift.
Soldeu is a good bit smaller (basically one big main road) but it's still a great place, hotels are a bit posher, four or five bars(aspen v good), chinese, curry house, couple of good restaurants, you have to get the gondonla up to the slopes (good for learners they don't have to try a chair lift straight away) but once your up there plenty of places to go and to do, tree runs, open runs, massive trick area down towards el tartar!
Both Pas and Soldeu are covered by the grandvalira lift pass (huge huge area) so loads to do.
have a look on the grandvalira website or another decent one is soldeuonline

Hope it helps! (last one if you do happen to go soldeu come down on the gondola for lunch ang go to the bruxxels (cheap as, huge portions, great place)
boarding & football! it's a simple life, but who needs to be complicated!
