Just a quick update...

Instead of having to use the 'Web' and 'E-mail' buttons to put links within your posts/private-mails, you can now just simply enter the web or email address and it will automatically convert it into a click-able link when you submit your post.

The original tools for adding web and email links still exist, so you can still provide custom 'clicky text' for your links, if you like.

Iain - Rogue Skier is gonna be happy
I've been all over the world, Ibiza, Magaluf, Blackpool etc and Tamworth was by far the best for snowsports!! It's intense man!!! You're totally gripped when you're at the top and looking down...

Starnzy..... FYI, Looks like if you edit a previously auto-linked post, the hyperlink is dropped and it reverts back to plain text.

Starnzy..... FYI, Looks like if you edit a previously auto-linked post, the hyperlink is dropped and it reverts back to plain text.

It might be a little more complicated than that. I edited a post a number of times, the first time I posted about 6 links and only the first 3 converted properly and it stayed that way for further edits. On the final edit i removed all links and re-entered the first one (www.google.com) and then even that one didnt convert

Update...

I've just put some new code live which fixes:

a) Edited posts having the hyperlink removed - my bad, now fixed and tested;
b) Secure (https) URL's now also being handled.

In theory, the only real remaining limitation is that the URL cannot be immediately surrounded by any characters, i.e. the url should either have a space either side of it or should be on a new line.

Thanks
