Revision #1 (Last edited: 26/08/2010 @ 21:08) |
Hey, I'm gunna be attempting to organise a week in Are, Sweden if anyone wants to come with?
Hotel is £2400 (self catering) and sleeps up to six, so the more that come the cheaper it is
Here's the estimates I've come up with (assuming 6 people):
Room: £400 Lift pass (no hire): £150 Flights, transfers, insurance: £200
Giving a total of £750 + spending money. Hotel price is fixed but flights etc are my guestimate.
I'm 23, boarder, beginner/intermediate. The hotel is the Holiday Club one near Totts hotel which I gather is near the slopes and nightlife (hotel is posh so no puking!!)

PM me for any more details

Hey,
I might be interested in that. What dates are you thinking? Also, any particular reason for that resort? I'm sure there are cheaper ones Sweden is damned expensive.

Hey, they got 4th to 11th or 11th to 18th (Sat to Sat).
I got a deal at that hotel so although it's a bit pricey it's a bargain. Went to Bulgaria last year on a budget so thought I'd try a nicer hotel this time. |

Good enough reason I guess! I think either of the dates are good for me. Depends on what work will allow me to take off! Now to see if I've got the money. How many people have you got so far? |

I've only just started looking so 1 mate is a maybe so far. 3/4 places left.
Are is looking like a pain to get to so I've got to have a more thorough look into flights. Looking like a flight into Stockholm then possibly an internal flight to Ostersund... |

i looked at Are around this time, it's not that bad getting there you just need 2 flights, in the end i decided to go somewhere snowsure with longer days, i think Are would be better later in the season when it's not freezing and doesn't get dark at 3pm, plus i'm pretty sure their Dec snowfall isn 't great
don't mean to sound negative - i was well up for boarding in Sweden early season but it didn't stack up, |

Nah, thanks for the feedback! Apparently they do direct flights on Sunday new for this season but haven't been able to find them (Nielson holidays said). I thought they had good floodlights. Maybe I better rethink Sweden lol |

ye they have floodlit pistes, there's a load of info on the Are site i think
can't remember the details really but it'll be like most night skiing where only a few pistes are lit up, saying that if u've not done it before night skiing is proper sick |
