Has anyone else used/tried or are currently using the Expresso system.

A: Does it work???

I currently use Expressos:

Build quality I found very good. Everything seems sturdy and well designed. One small issue though: one of my toe strap sometimes fails to open easily, i.e. pulling on the buckle does not open it enough and it catches and I end having to pull several times.

The system does work once you get the hang of it: personally I found that to step in easily from the back you have loosen the ankle strap 2/3 clicks when you step out. Otherwise your foot doesn't go quite far enough forward when stepping in and it is difficult to pull the highback up.

I find them very comfortable and love that they work both ways (i.e. standard straps or rear entry).

I'm only intermediate so not really in a position to comment on their responsivness/stiffness etc..

Anyway, overall, really happy with them:
