Anyone gonna be in gulmarg in january.

Hi all, off to gulmarg on the 13th january went for 2 months last season too good to miss. Went with a friend last year, going on my own this time. If anyone is going to be out there the same time as me and wants to meet up let me know.

Hi,
Im also there on my own on the 16/01/10 for a week so i would appreciate someone to hook up with ! However i am only really an intermediate with around 5 weeks under my belt as i have boarded in Europe and Nz for the last 5 years.Couldyou give me any info on the situation with equipment hire out there and any recommendation on a budget place to stay ??

Going to be Gulmarg on the 29th.
When you get back, can you let me know what the conditions are like as I hear there is no snow at the mo. Bloomin global warming......

Hi. did not think to check out the site while i was there thats a shame no snow whilst i was there i understand
a storm was on its way. stayed at the hotel poshwan good bunch looked after me well not the best conditions for a beginner how did you find it Nathan.

Hi there was some snow, hard packed icy conditions I was only there for 2 weeks spent some time chillin in goa before i headed up to the mountains so it was still a good trip but sh*t compaired to last year. Only managed 6 runs over the space of the 2 weeks. plenty of hiking there and some good snow if you dont mind walking for 5 hours a day to find it. High risk of avalanches when it does snow.
