I've not been, but I'm going in January for my 30th with a group.

Looks like it's a good resort although people seem to moan about the runs not being graded correctly, but I'm putting that down to personal opinion, and that there are a few long and slow pomas.

I can't wait. Check out www.sauzeonline.com for some great info, no idea on the persons name that runs it but s/he has been really helpful with answering my questions on it.

There's been a couple of Sauze threads thta I can remember ...

Here

and here

A group of us went this Jan and it was good fun. I didn't find any of the runs too bad but then again I don't pay too much attention to what colour it says the run is on the piste map

I've not been in the winter so I cant comment on the pistes but I drove through and stopped the night last year in July. It was a great little town up in the sticks and even in the off season there was a good crowd in the local, Paddy McGintys and some kind of downhill mountain biking competition on which went through some of the town's backstreets. The hotel which we jumped in at the last minute overlooked what seemed to be the 'main square' and was very nice indeed. The Relais Des Alpes it was called if you'll excuse my spelling guesstimation.

Been there a number of times (although it's been a few years now), one of my favourite resorts although I wouldn't describe the mountains as epic so much; there's a lot of terrain but it's not overly extreme, also bear in mind that in my experience the link to Sestriere could quite often be closed from avalanche risk or high winds. It's fairly low lying so the snow sometimes isn't that great, the three times I've been in March though it's dumped down. You'll find more of my comments on one of the other threads already mentioned I expect.
