i'm looking at picking up a back protector and some impact shorts if i can find some in the sales.

i tried on some impact shorts a couple of seaons ago in snow and rock, they had the plastic shells in the shorts and i found them very rigid and quite uncomfortable so really i want just some soft ones.

also i'm after some back protection. i really want something that covers the shoulders too as i have previously smashed my shoulder and collar bone to bits. i'm struggling to find anything that does the job without turning me into robocop! everything looks really heavy and rigid. so far the best thing i've found is this http://pro-tec.net/snow/ips_vest_protector.html has any one used one or have you got any other recommendations? i've found the vest for £90 so not too bad

cheers
