Hey
I was reading some posts on the forum from a while back which were saying how crap Alpine Elements were, some people had been on holidays to Morzine and were complaining about one of the reps.
Before reading this review, I have booked a holiday with Alpine Elements to Meribel in January, and am now slightly worried . This is my first snowboarding trip and I want it to be a good one. Was it just the rep who made the holiday bad or was the whole holiday a bust?

Anyone who's had a good experience with these guys - please let me know!
Thanks

Thanks - your right. I've been looking forward to this holiday for ages and I can't let some bad reviews of another resort get me down.
I'm going for a week - that's all I can get off work!!

Hi there,

if you're only going for a week I'm sure it will be fine. I just wouldn't want to do a season with them.

Hi Kate

I have been twice with Alpine Elements, once to Morzine and then Tignes, both times were spot on holidays, if you're used to 5 star hotels then maybe no for you. but both times we had great hosting with good food and plenty of it and clean rooms. you will always get a few people whinging about their accomadation, but i am sure where ever they go they will moan.

have a great time

yeah its my post on SCUK kate, i asked the same question as you are, and did get dodgy answers from ppl.

BUT, they were all saying that it was from when they were called snowboard loadge or something and they were talking about were i wanted to go which was morzine, so im sure it will be fine and you will have a great laugh, its all about the ppl you go with or meet in this great wide world. oh yeah and this "snowboarding" they seem to go on about on this forum ha ha ha ha

I went to Tignes last Dec with them...rooms were small and basic but clean and the food was plentiful and quite tasty...

Cool - I'm not looking for 5* hotels so hopefully it will be pretty cool.

hello and welcome to GB, i'm a newbie on here 2 but these guys are really cool and have given me some great advice.

anyway stayed in tignes last year with alpine elements, chalet triolet, (i think). got it on a last minute deal, about £270 for the week. chalet was a little cramped bedrooms not great, (no windows), but had a great time. met some great people and the hosts where fantastic. great food, great laffs, great people and great snow

thinkingh of usa or canada this winter or would probably look at booking with them again

I also stayed at Chalet Triolet in Tignes last year.

Have to say that whilst the food was good and the place clean it certainly was not a chalet capable of sleeping 14 of us.

As it happened two people dropped out. But even with 12 it was too cramped. You could only just fit 12 around the dinner table (not sure what we would have done with 14!).

Was disappointing that we'd been sold a chalet in this way.

It's the first time in a few years that I'd booked using a 3rd party company and even with the benefit of cooked meals don't think I'll do it again for a while.

That said - the holiday is generally made or broken with the snow conditions. Our's were great but I can imagine the problem with the chalet would have kicked off had the conditions been crap.
