Absolutely. Get the heel strap to hold the boots into the binding, then tighten the toe strap (but not crazy tight)

I also strap in heel first then toe strap and then give them both a quick click before setting off.
Glad your sorted with all your kit.

As for the boots been tight on your toes is this whilst stood straight legged or with bent knees? As my toes touch my liners in my thirtytwo lashed with straight legs but with bent knees there a perfect fit with no discomfort or heel lift

Surprised you weren't told in your first lesson to do your ankle strap first. Pushes the boot against the heel cup and high back and then locks it in place.

I'm the same, my toes recede when I get into my riding position on the board. I expect they'll pack out a few mm or so after I've been using then for a while too.

Hah yeah I wasn't thinking straight probably due to the overload to my senses, aswell as battling for space at top of the run with skiers!

Did you get your liners heat moulded? If not I sugges you get it done makes a hell of a difference and helps them pack out a little quicker

No not yet, I'll look into that when I touch down in Sauze, I've watched a few videos on the tube so I know the score. There should be a few ski/snowboad shops about over there, also I want to get my board waxed too if I don't get it done before the end of next week.

Noahs is my local store, so find my self in there quite often. worth checking out, the guys know their stuff

I never knew Noahs did snowboarding stuff - When did that start? Was always a bike shop. I'm showing my age I know.

I'm based in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire.

If you ever head south I can recommend the Board Basement (www.theboardbasement.com).

The guys spent nearly 4 hours helping us try on boots. They also wouldn't let me buy an Arbor as my first board as I didn't deserve it (so true), but they did give us a discount on the stuff we did buy.
Take the pain.

It's been doing snowboard gear for as long as I've been riding (11 years).

I'm sure I've bought bike stuff there in the last 5 years or so - I must have zoned-out on the snowboard gear since I didn't have much interest in it back then.

Sweet news that they do though - only 20 minutes from home. I see they do board servicing and I'm in need...

If youve been to there new store over the road in those old mill houses then the board store is on the right as you cross the little bridge into it. I had my board serviced there the other week did a top job. There new shops really nice set over two floors although there old shop was good as well. Has anyone been to this new shop in cheltenham yet that was mentioned in an earlier post?
