I remember when I saw David Vincent walking from the City Kicker built in Covent Garden, London. I was going to ask him for his snowboard, because I couldn't afford one and was desperate to start. Eventually I thought it would be too rude to ask him to hand over £500 worth of equipment and merely said "You're jumps were amazing!". He said "Thanks dude", shook my hand and walked off to the afterparty.
Next month I was reading Snowboard UK magazine and their report on the Covent Garden contest. It turns out that another kid later asked David for his authograph, so he signed his board and handed it over.
Gutted doesn't begin to explain how I felt. I remember that orange board with the mushrooms and regret not having the balls to ask.
Moral of the story: GROW SOME BALLS!!! |

Yeah Jamie Lynn gave his board away at CG too - i was gutted when i read about that in Snowboard World!
I had one of Terjes boards, that i got off him at Val D'Isere halfpipe comp in 96, it was a prototype Balance - i swapped it for 2 Lib Techs a couple of years later, wish i hadnt now.
The original Dave Vincents were sick - he was my favorite rider back then, and was doing inverted sh*t long before the Yanks.

Hi,
Just a question for you regarding your David Vincent boards, I am looking at buying a board that you have in your collection, the mustard coloured one, with a white back and the red mushrooms on it. Just wondered how much you paid for it as i don`t want to get ripped off!!!!
Cheers, Mark |

Hi
I had a A's board, in 1994 Green with black and white strips down it and some kind of monster through it.
I think it was a low-mid range board I think.
My first board, only on my second now after all these years.
Is the company still going ?.

Alright chaps, I know this now a fairly old thread, but what the hey... I have an A snowboard, I don't know loads about it but i'm pretty sure it a rare 1 & was hoping you might know more than me? In the picture on here with all 14 boards, i'm led to believe only 1 of these did not feature mushrooms as part of the design, is this correct?? The board i have is right in the middle at the top, plain white with blue metalic that you can only see in bright sunlight & has a small green dragon on it holding an apple! Also has a very bright colourful bottom sheet featuring 3 large apple trees & the dragon sat on a branch blowing flames - not a single piece of fungus in sight! Have you come accross this board before?? |

cant help with the design.. but if it is a David Vincent im guessing it will be worth a fair bit to a collector.
Have you tried on Facebook and asked any of the David Vincent / A snowboard groups on there ? Maybe a better photo of your board would help ? |

Hi,
I would say that it is a David Vincent.. if you look on this FB group, under the photos, the fifth photo shows a collectors david vincent boards. I think yours is the 3rd board in from the left.
I think the collector has also posted on here quite a few times so I guess you could always drop him an email ?

Either way the graphics on all the boards in the David Vincent range are awesome and I can see why they are so collectable |

Brilliant, thanks for that. I'll have a look now as I've previously tried & failed to find a picture of another 1! Thanks again. |
