The Art of Flight

Our pulses have been on overdrive since the first teaser for the Art of Flight landed on our desktops. Beads of sweat dripped down our foreheads, and we uncontrollably moaned out loud at what we were witnessing. The adrenaline was pumping and tingles ran down our spines. The Art of Flight was coming our way, and all we could do was press Replay.
The first world premiere has already slammed down on NYC, but now the tour is en route to Europe, and we know there's no choice but to follow its trail of destruction. Produced by Quiksilver, RedBull Media House and Brain Farm cinemas, the boundaries of snowboarding have once again been reworked and redefined by Travis Rice himself, with his handpicked gaggle of snowboarders you'd only dream of inviting to your dinner table. John Jackson, Mark Landvik, Scotty Lago, Nicolas Muller, DCP, Jake Blauvet, Pat Moore, Jeremy Jones, Mark McMorris... the list goes on, and there's no turning back for any of them.

But the Art of Flight isn't just a snowboard movie. Oh no, it's a documentary, a journey through the lives of these top names in the world of snowboarding, defying gravity and reality, as they travel to remote locations that even Bear Grylls wouldn't throw a stone at. With each journey comes its own story, and like every epic trip, there are highs and lows you've just got to embrace along the way.

The word 'epic' is thrown about a lot in the riding world, but we thought nothing could beat the epicness of Travis' last journey in 2008 – that of the dream team power of That's it, That's all. But he's done it again, and it may have cost even more blood, sweat and dollars this time around, but it's worth every cent.

You can taste the tears, feel the pain and hear your heart beating as you're ready to drop in to some of the world's most immense locations, from Chile and Alaska through to Aspen, the Andes, BC and much more, all like a high definition paradise spread our before you. From Mark McMorris stomping an insane Triple Cork 1440 to some of the most immense powder lines you'll ever come across, The Art of Flight is by far one of the most impressive snowboard movies to hit our screens.

We don't want to spoil the tale for you, but there are moments when you just don't believe what you're witnessing, nor how it's humanly possible to survive those elements. It's more than just a movie – you can feel it, breathe it and experience it too.
