If your heading to Morzine or not decided on your trip check out this Article.

More Mountain LOVE snowboarding - Simple. We have wicked chalets and apartments in top locations. We don't compromise on standards or service. We have a brilliant laugh with you on your holiday coupled with a lot of style and tasty grub... it's luxury but not pretentious!
More Mountain is ran by husband and wife team Sam & Jon Dredge. They have created an exciting and modern independent chalet company with a simple concept…

Fresh, Contemporary, Stylish Chalets located in the heart of Morzine, slap bang in the centre of the Portes Du Soleil, the biggest ski area in the world. More Mountain are luxurious but NOT pretentious. Understated Luxury perhaps?

Their über cool style and professional service appeals to a 30 something age group whose homes are loaded with furniture, clothes, shoes, electronics, appliances and gadgets. And of course… they get nothing less when they come to More Mountain.

Already in its 5th year, and also ranked number 1 on Trip Advisor, More Mountain aim to deliver a MORE stylish, contemporary and modern approach to ski chalets.

Less of the alpine kitsch and MORE of the mod cons seems to be their motto. There isn’t a Gingham curtain or Savoyard heart in sight. In every chalet you will find complimentary gadgets like iPods for the mountain, Garmin GPS Devices and Motorola Digital Walkie Talkies with their own private More Mountain channel specific to your chalet. Each pad is also equipped with a complimentary iMac and free WIFI.

Sam and Jon and their team of professional staff are on hand at all times. All the hosts take time to show you round resort and point out the best runs on the slopes. Often, the owners, Sam and Jon will also join you for a day on the slopes, showing you some of their favourite runs and “secret spots”. They may well stop off at one of their favourite mountain restaurants - a well deserved break after charging down 25kms of glorious reds and blacks to Switzerland for the day… topped off with a rum hot chocolate!

Despite having chalets in convenient town centre locations, there is always someone on hand with the trusty Baron, an ex RAF Landrover Defender, now “More Mountained” up. Dropping you to and from the slopes or picking you up from the nearest après bar after a few Mutzigs… they will happily deposit you in front of the fire ready for an “apero” before dinner or simply a dip in the hot tub.

The basics are not compromised either with immaculate bedrooms and high standards of cleanliness throughout. They even offer a mid week towel change and top up your L’Occitane toiletries if you wish.

Dinnertime is no exception and the food is scrumptious – fantastic home cooked “Gastro” style cuisine, non pretentious, wholesome, hearty and healthy. All served up with handpicked quality wine or bottled beers, lively chat about the days events on the mountain and to finish off, a good shot of homemade toffee vodka. Sam calls this a necessary “digestive”!

After dinner its safe to say you will be making the most of stylish lounge areas, those leather sofas and roaring fire or alternatively getting back into you swimmers and quaffing more vino in the outdoor hot tub!

“We love tasty food and great wine. We like to make you laugh. Couple this with excellent service from grown up friendly & professional staff, throw in a large dose of enthusiasm for the Alps and you get More Mountain!”
More Mountain guests have high expectations. Since the start, a lot of their clients have become regulars and approximately 40% their customer base tend to be Snowboarders. This is due to their passion for the sport and also their strong ties with UK Snowboard Shop Subvert Boardstore.

Every year More Mountain run “The Slushy Social” which is a fun packed week at the end of the season, specifically designed for snowboarders who ride the UK snowdomes and shop at Subvert to come together in the Alps for a week of social riding. It is already becoming an institution and has created quite a following! (This is a separate holiday in its own right and possibly needs some separate coverage)
In addition, Jon has developed “SnowParking” which is a blokes only snowboard freestyle camp, aimed at like minded guys in their 30’s who want to improve their technical riding ability, off piste and freestyle capabilities. (This is a separate holiday in its own right and possibly needs some separate coverage)
“alpine getaways where the difference is the detail”

In addition to the chalets, More Mountain are now offering a more flexible solution with luxury self catered apartments.

As well as 3 catered chalets, La Cabine, Chalet Robin and The Loft, we are also offering “pimped up” self catered holidays from 3 brand new funky centrally located apartments - The Penthouse, Apartment Central, and Apartment Jardin des Fes. We are also devising hand delivered "gourmet meals on wheels", which mirror our chalet menu… food fit for even the poshest of nana's! Happy Days....”

There is definitely More to Morzine …

Morzine goes green
Sustainable ski project in Morzine aims to protect the environment and cut bills.

The ski resort of Morzine, in the French Alps, is setting the standard for sustainable ski destinations with a new partnership between specialist travel business, muchbetteradventures.com, and the Travel Foundation.
More than 30 chalets in the resort have signed up to a new programme to reduce water and energy consumption during the 2010-2011 ski season.
The team from muchbetteradventures.com is working with chalet and hotel owners in Morzine to help them reduce their water and energy consumption. The programme aims to show them how small changes, such as using low flow showerheads, checking for leaks regularly and using energy efficient light bulbs, can make a positive difference to the environment as well as saving up to 25 per cent on utility bills. At the start of the winter season a training workshop will be held to ensure staff understand the issues and to highlight best practice examples that they can use in their daily operations.
The Travel Foundation is backing the scheme, as part of its Make Snowsports Greener campaign, by providing training packs and information, and expert support.
Chalets involved include the Family Ski Company, Ride and Slide, More Mountain, Chalets Koala, Morzine, 1066 and La Combe, and the Riders Refuge.
Alex Naracott, the co-founder of muchbetteradventures.com, said: “It is encouraging to see real commitment from a number of operators in Morzine. This is the beginning of a project we plan to run over the next few years and we anticipate the programme will expand once the first participants start to reap the rewards over the winter.”
Jon Dredge, owner of More Mountain, said: “Everyone I have met associated the programme has been really positive, and the info and advice provided makes it much easier to source and implement ideas. We all rely on the snow for our businesses to function, so hopefully we can work together to share ideas and every chalet operator involved will be able to reduce their energy and water consumption in some way. It has the added benefit of cutting costs, which is important in the current market.”

Sue Hurdle, chief executive, The Travel Foundation, said: “This is an excellent example of how travel companies can take action for the environment and bring benefits to their business at the same time. We’re encouraging snow sports operators to get involved in this project and work with their suppliers to take action. Travel companies can also follow the example set by muchbetteradventures.com and set up their own water and energy saving projects.”
