If you’ve never been riding (or skiing before) it can be quite daunting. All your mates go every year and you stay behind because you think you’ll show yourself up, because you’ll be left on your own, because you are not as fit as them........and then they come back with heroic tales of jumps, grinds, rails and all kinds of other things you wish you knew about.

The HOFNAR experience has 2 weeks lined up this year where everybody will be as rubbish as each other, these trips are just for beginners, for both skiers and boarders. The ‘First time on snow’ weeks run on the 16th January and 6th March. All you need to worry about is finding yourself some snow clothes and getting yourself to Geneva. Everything else is sorted for you.

We take over a real nice chalet in the centre of Morzine in the French Alps. There are never more than sixteen people on a trip and most come on their own. There are people of all ages (no kids), but most are in their twenties or thirties.

You’ll have lessons every morning, run by the local ski school. In the afternoons you’ll be free to practise what you’ve learnt and then as the lifts up the mountain shut, we’ll get involved in the all important après ski!

These are real laid back, great value for money trips. Watch out though it’s pretty addictive!!

Prices are from £640pp including equipment hire, lift pass, lessons and more. Full details of what is and isn’t included can be seen at www.hofnar.com
