Wow. What an excellent piece of design. I have these in a size US12 and they come up about 1cm shorter than my old Forums in a US12. Little overhang but tons of comfort.
The leather exterior is totally badass and is impervious to the effects of water. I've hiked loads in them and they're yet to go shrivelly or let any water in (God forbid).
I have wide feet and high arches but the liners on these boots moulds sooo nicely to your plates the boots will fit anyone. When you try them on you'll feel a lump under your foot; walk around for five minutes and it'll change shape to fit you perfectly.
The BOA system is something that I'd wanted to try for a while, and having tried it, will now likely not ride anything else. The laces are 14 strings of plaited titanium and even if they do break a spare comes in the box. The system is so easy to use - it's not a gimmick, it's just really effective. You'll appreciate it if you ride a lot of days like me and you are constantly having to retighten laces as the day goes on.

Had a question from a member asking me to clarify the reason why the SPis didn't fit properly - here's my answer:
I have 03/04 red Ride SPi bindings in L (last year they only did S,M,L). When I put the Fargos in them, the ankle strap didn't hug the contour of the boot accurately, hence there were gaps and hence some movement between the heelstrap and the boot.
Also the toestrap of the Ride SPis is not very padded, and the same problem as above occured, leading to pressure points in my toes. Finally the bindings were a lot wider than the boots. struggled with it for a few days, it didn't work out, I bought some Drake F60s and now my problem is solved. It's up to you whether you want to replace the bindings or go for different boots I guess - but I love Fargos, they're the comfiest boots I've worn. |

| Strengths |
- BOA - brill
- Great variable flex pattern, soft bottom and stiff upper
- Dead short sold
- Excellent mouldable liners
- Incredibly warm
- Perfect for hiking
- Leather finish (bling!) |
|
| Weaknesses |
- Didn't fit in my Ride bindings so had to buy some Drakes to fit them
- Get dirty easily!
- Pressure points on the BOA crossover hurt a bit if the bindings are really tightly done up |
