Review Detail
Tzoumaz is just over the ridge from Verbier and therefore forms part of the Swiss 4 valleys area. Its a pretty quiet town with a family atmosphere with a few restaurants and bars. The main Gondola from Tzoumaz takes you up to the top of the ridge which then gives you the option to ride down into the Verbier Lift system and access to the rest of the 4 valleys or stay on the Tzoumaz side. The mountain riding on the Tzoumaz side of the mountain is excellent and very quiet when compared to Verbier. Endless off piste options, loads of places to build kickers, natural hits, trees, drops and some steeps give something for everyone. There is no park to speak off although they do apparently build some type of boardercross course normally. If you hire a car then its only 25 minutes to Nendaz and the Burton progression park which is excellent.
Strengths
Great Terrain.
Quiet Slopes.
Easy Access to Verbier Riding.
Cheap.
Weaknesses
Links to Nendaz and Thyon are not great.
No Park.
If you want good nightlife its not here.
