| I bought this because I needed something to play when I couldn't afford to go to MK. I was expecting something great, since the game had all the 'from the makers of THPS' blurb but I was severely disappointed. The game feels sluggish and hard to control, half the tricks you can't do because you don't have enough airtime and I just didn't feel involved enough with the gameplay.
I had 1080 on the N64 and that was infinitely better - it just felt more like real boarding, though admittedly I'm a freerider - I'll be digging that out from the wardrobe instead. |
|
| Strengths |
| Erm... Gives you the chance to put on your kit and pretend you're there? |
|
| Weaknesses |
| Sluggish, unrealistic, no freeride option, feels like it was put together by someone who'd never boarded before in their life. |

Generally a good game, based on THPS engine.
Very similar to other Activision products. Great for younger gamers or people who don't snowboard. good graphics and gameplay. |
|
| Strengths |
| Tons of tricks, existing riders and eqipment. Palmers antics and satisfying graphics. Cheat possibilities |
|
| Weaknesses |
Unrealistic spin interface, soundrack consists only of metal, which gets annoying after some time.

| What a great game. I would agree with the two previous reviews, some of the challenges are too hard, but for the most part the game is just too addictive to put down. Also has a great 2 player option, with 4 types of games to pummel your mates. You can even create boarders that look like yourself in the game…..helps with the 2 player rivalries ! |
|
| Strengths |
-Mega addictive
-Great soundtrack
-Intense 2 player mode |
|
| Weaknesses |
| -Challenges are sometimes impossible |

This is a very cool snowboard game!
You can choose from a wide variatie of pro riders all the tricks are in this game and there are a few real world destinations. |
|
| Strengths |
Lots of game play and really cool lyrics!!
The graphics are superb and the best thing is that when you ride through powder the snow sprays up!! |
|
| Weaknesses |
| This gets boring quite quickly and sometimes the challenges are ridiculous! |

Compulsive but somewhat infuriating PS2 snowboarding sim in the Tony Hawk mould. The game looks and plays great but is marred by ridiculously hard challenges. By the time you have mastered them, the challenges will seem easy but by then the game is all but completed.
Still it is one of the best snowboarding games available and despite taking a few liberties in the name of fun, Shaun Palmer''s Pro Snowboarder is still far more realistic than cartoon games like SSX or SSX Tricky.

| Strengths |
| Looks brilliant, is very playable and has a sense of humour. |
|
| Weaknesses |
| Challenges are too hard and unlike Tony Hawk Skateboarding 3, has no variety if you play as a different character. |
