| Review Detail |
Bought myself a pair of F24's after my 03/04 malamutes finally gave up on me after about 35 weeks of snowboarding with them, one of the farbric eyelets on the inner liner snapped - could've probably been repaired bought thought I'd treat myself to something new.
Initially the F24's felt quite stiff but not as stiff as my Malamutes were when I first bought them. After a couple of rides though I got used to them and were even better than my much loved old boots.
The main benifit with these boots is the heel hold which is just unreal, I was initially disappointed to fin that they didn't have the internal heel strap that my malamutes did but the construction around the heel is so perfect that I don't get a hint of heel lift.
Next bonus is the Fusion liner brings the overall boot volume down so bigger footers out there can get away with a narrower board. I'm size 10 but the boot is seroiously small. If you're an 11 or 12 you'd probably be able to use a non wideboard if you have these boots.
Next up is the lacing system which is miles better than any Burton speedlacing nonsence or boa system. You can idependantly tighten the upper and lower sections and the main lace holder is now attached to the togue and hold much better than the olf toggle trype fasttner that used to hang loose on the old models. |
