Review Detail
Hoch-Ybrig is a small resort a short drive away from Zurich at the base of the Alps.

There is no resort town so to speak of but is within a 15 minute drive of several small towns and around 45 minutes from Zuirich. We satyed in Einsiedeln 15 mintues away which is a fairly queit swiss town except for a couple of weeks in February when they hold a festival and its come alive and is definitely worth a look in.

I went there on a trip with my college hence the price including catered Acom & Passes & Transport. You take a gondola up to the resort from the base which can be busy at peak times but you can board all the way back down to the car park courtesy of a nice black down the back of the mountain, however conditions on it ca be dodgy.

For Variety you don't get much better than Hoch Ybrig it has lots of wide open pisted for begginers, as well as some nice steep runs for speed freaks and some nice scenic tree runs near the bottom. It has some reeally good bowls with lots of natural kickers as well which makes for lots of play.

But one of the best things is for such a small resort it has a pretty epic Park boasting two massive Jumps in the form in "The Nitro" and "The one thats not as big as "The Nitro" but still quite big" along with 6 other kickers, 3 staright boxes, two kined rails and one kinked box, makes for hours of fun haning out in the Park.

The resturants on the mountain are quite expensive and not particularly vaired in their choices (which means mostly chips and sausages) However for a morning pickup try a Schluni Flumni (Coffee and Schnappz) for a morning pick me up.

Overall this is a great little resort regardless of hat level you are, however due to size I wouldn't recommend for going for more than a week.
