In my opinion Morzine is the best place to go on a snow holiday and ride and slide make it even better.

Luxury is the only word for the chalet!! The food was totally amazing!! Jamie, Cat and Al were the best hosts in the world and so much fun! The week went by far too quickly!

I was there on my own to do the snowboarding camp with Our Camps. It was an incredible camp and if you are a snowboarder who is interested in learning some freestyle then this is the place for you! I met 15 other fantastic people and by the end of the week the coaches had me in the stash, on the pipe and hitting boxes and kickers!! That’s all the stuff I thought I’d NEVER do!! Gilly, Laura and Drew were our coaches and they were fab! Everyone came and had fun with us in the mountains. Jamie (the chef), Al (even though he is a skier) & Cat (the hosts) and Lisa & Jon (the bosses) all came out with us on different coaching days to join in and have a go at different boarding disciplines.

I am hooked and hope to be back there for more next year!! Thank you Ride and Slide!!!xx
Strengths
Our Camps!
Food
Great hosts
Weaknesses
Could be closer to cerntre but with transfer bus to lifts its nothing. And in the evening an apre ski beer jacket helps with the 10-15 min walk back. I quite liked the walk myself!

I arrived early afternoon following a week in Champery and was greeted with a cuppa and a chat about life. It was like being back home and this was due to the fact that the chalet hosts, Al and Cat and Jonny, Lisa and Seren are interested in providing more than just a bog standard holiday experience.

The rooms are comfortable and warm with more than enough space to swing a cat. Gear lives in the shed and the boot room is therefore left dry and warm to allow all the gear to dry overnight.

Food was out of this world with Jamie's pies being one of the high points, or was that the lamb, maybe the fish, the chicken or even the tartiflette on the first night. To be fair it was all ace and has inspired me to do some things at home too. Breakfast was a buffet affair so you could choose what you wanted and how much. A few of these had a hot option and a full English(or was that Welsh ;)) on one of the days.

Wine was on tap or a volonte as the French would say and none of that cheap chalet crap that's undrinkable that I have sampled in other establishments. Honesty bar is a good idea too, however I don't know why the Leffe was in there - it's soo addictive and as Jamie would say - a meal in a glass.

Lifts are available to and from the bubbles at times that you wanted to go.

To sum up it's a very slick operation with a relaxed homely feel. I'll see you soon.
Strengths
Homely atmosphere
The food, oh my god it was amazing and of the gastro pub style.
The wii got people talking
A lot of guests are on return visits, so there's a chance you'll meet friends again.
Good to go as a singleton as you'll find like minded people to ride with.
Hot tub with cracking views across the valley and a great way to wind down
Help to get the car out when it dumped on the last few days - cheers guys.
Weaknesses
None really

Just gonna throw another good review onto the pile.

After finding out about Ride & Slide through this website I booked a week in early January after reading all the good comments about the chalet and Morzine/Avoriaz.

This was my first experience of a chalet holiday, and I had a brilliant time. I would not hesitate to recommend Ride and Slide to anyone looking for the perfect chalet holiday, and one that offers superb value for money. Jon and Lisa have got the ingredients just right - their dedication and passion for their business shines through every aspect, you really couldn't ask for more.

A special mention has to be made for Jamie the chef, who without fail produced food of such high quality that it would put a Gordon Ramsey Gastro pub to shame. It was a delight to come home to after a hard day shredding. The chalet hosts Al and Catherine were excellent and made us feel very welcome, and kept the chalet in an immaculate state. They were always ready to help, and provided excellent advice on Morzine. I will without doubt be going back.

Strengths
-Really comfortable, warm chalet with excellent food and free wine. The honesty bar is a good idea too, with beers for 1 euro. Its in a great spot just far enough out of town to be quiet but close enough to walk back after a night out. The views from the hot tub terrace are amazing too.
-Morzine is a top class town with classic alpine charm, and the access to the linked ski areas surrounding it is top class. You can get from the bottom of Super Morzine lift to Avoriaz in about 35 mins. We booked the first week in Jan, and had great snow, with all runs back to town covered.
Weaknesses
The only weakness was my failure to ever get to the cheese course, must practice my eating skills for next time!

There's not a lot I can add to the other reviews, especially s88lok's very comprehensive effort! I can heartily second his comments on Jamie's cooking, which was phenomenal, and Sophie's cakes were almost as good. There's no point in me repeating things, so all I'll say is that I'd heartily recommend the Ride&Slide setup to anyone interested in a comfy yet luxurious boarding holiday, even more so if Jamie and Sophie are back next season!
Strengths
Great chalet - really comfy and luxurious, especially the hot tub!
Jonny, Lisa and Seren - really friendly and welcoming owners
Jamie and Sophie - brilliant chalet hosts
Copious free wine and cheap Kronenbourgs from the honesty bar
Weaknesses
The only thing I can come up with is that its a bit of a schlep into town or a 15euro cab ride for a night out

this is our 3rd vist now and it gets better and better each time we go, this time we took along a friend who stayed for 3 nights, but unfortunatley was ill the whole time, but even so loved the chalet and the hosts. they couldnt do enough for him in the day.

and as for food, where else could sort out 13 ppl with a 4 course meal every night and deal with.....get ready...1 veggie...1 vegan...1 nut allergy....1 wheat allergy, as well as feed the rest of the ppl, AMAZING.

hot tub & sauna are just the best, sitting there are 10pm pitch black -10 degrees looking at the moutain while in the tub, what a experience.

if you need a chalet in morzine BOOK HERE NOW!!!!
Strengths
as usual the chalet hosts were amazing, along with J & L themselves of course
Weaknesses
no weaknesses AT ALL
