| Review Detail |
Can't believe no-one's reviewed this place before, 'cos its where all of East Central Scotland learned to ski or board. The reason is probably because it's universally known as HILLEND, despite its new official name.
There are two dendex main slopes, one of which is reputedly the longest artificial slope in Europe, served by two buttons and a chairlift. There's a small snowflex jump area with two kickers, and two dendex nursery slopes.
There are lesson programs, but I don't know anything about them (sorry)
Currently there's a choice of strap or step-in hire gear, although I believe the step-ins are being retired. |

| Strengths |
Big (for a dry slope) main run. Top section is steeper, narrower and bumpier and will let you know how good your control is.
Nice soft landing area at the jumps for when you slam...
Best thing is, if you can board on this, you'll find real snow dead easy.
Close to Ikea for inexpensive candles :-) |
|
| Weaknesses |
Sometimes crowded - you may find a coachload of schoolkids in front of you.
Tend to be a bit stingy with the sprinklers at times, leading to slow going and a smell of burning p-tex... |
