Review Detail
I recently needed a new pair of gloves and found that these ones had all the gadgets ...Gore-Tex, Outlast insulation and a Biomex impact protector. Not that it should have swayed my purchasing decision but hey snowboarders=technologists, early adopters.

The gloves are gauntlet style with a Velcro strap which tightens the whole glove round your wrist and hand making it a very firm and comfy fit.

The Outlast inner glove stores excess heat away from your hand when you're hot and then disperses the heat back to your hands when they get cold (on lifts, drinking many beers outside etc.) and they work a treat keeping your hands at the same temperature all day. If you know it's going to be a cold day then you just place the outlast inners on a radiator for a few minutes and they will keep this heat for around 12 hours (amazingly it does work, but if you take your gloves off during the day then they will cool down quite rapidly!) ...just wish my boots, pants, beanie and jacket had Outlast as well ...then I could probably sleep up here on the mountain waiting for first daylight every morning (umm, I wish!).

The Gore-Tex glove (main glove) keeps the water away and has all the right protection bits on your fingers, palm and knuckles (I've also found that they're great for threatening the odd pushy French Skier in busy queues!).

The Biomex impact protector! I've taken this thing out as it is a little bit of plastic with a thumb hole, it is sort of meant to dissipate the force of an impact but if you haven't put your thumb in absolutely perfectly then it will be bloody uncomfortable and it somehow managed to open up a little scratch I had on the base of my thumb by taking a big chunk of skin from it and then trying to graft it onto the outlast glove! not nice and v.painful! So IMHO lose the Biomex and get yourself some decent wrist protectors, they will fit in these monsters and you'll be more comfortable and better protected.

Overall though, these gloves are probably worth the money, they keep your hands well protected, perfectly warm, and very dry so what more do you need? ...well probably just a ski lodge at the top of Verbier with a well stocked bar in it!.

Certainly worth trying them on the next time you feel that common urge to buy more gear, and if they fit ....then buy them as you won't be sorry!
