Since the Snowboard night moved to Thursdays the scene at Chatham has gone from strength to strength.
They now have a 40 foot double coping Animal rail a 30 foot long 5 foot hight flat down kink and a down flat down box sponsored by Nixon to add to the collection of rails. (there are now 13 rails avalible and loads of ramps)

| Strengths |
All the instructors are always willing to help, no matter how busy they are.
Soo many ramps and rails it's untrue (ranging from beginners stuff to insanly hard stuff). And they are always building new ones.
All obsticles are colour coded to allow riders to gauge the difficulty.
Sprinkler system works well, and there is always plenty of wax out.
Slope is long and wide.
Snowboard nights cost £16 for three housr, open practice there is £11.50 for an housr and a half, you do the math.

|
| Weaknesses |
Helmets are needed to use ramps and rails.
Hire equiptment is looking a bit old now, but have been told there is some new stuff coming in soon. |

JNLL Chatham is a great slope with lots of variety and length (at 200 metres). Now they've sorted out the problem of a lack of hire gear (they got in a load of new boards recently), I can't fault the equipment either.
On Sunday nights board night the array of toys to choose from is far greater than the amount they can sensibly put on the hill at any one time. Every rail so far known to man (kinked, step, s-rail, handrail etc) is there with the exception of RAINBOW and SEE SAW rails - which rumour has it are being seriously considered and may indeed be in the pipeline.
The kickers are just right, once again plenty of variety for all levels, the legendary floater is undergoing a little restoration at the mo (beginning of Feb 03) but the new, even bigger kicker (almost a foot taller and 3 foot shorter than the floater) which didn't quite make it for High and Dry is soon to be completed and available for public use - if you dare. Expect to see some ridiculous action from that in the near future!
Alex, Mark, and occasionally Mr. Woods are
dedicated, helpful and professional guys who do a fantastic job of organising, setting up and running the board night, and also do a great job helping out the beginners.
The snowboard instructors are all pretty fantastic, especially J and Alex, they all seem to really know their stuff and get the best from their lessons without compromising on the fun aspect (unlike some of the military style ski-instructors).

| Strengths |
| Instructors, slope and toys |
|
| Weaknesses |
| On hot days they don't always use the sprinklers so it can be slow and crap, but board club's always ok. |
