Review Detail
After getting my intial list down to just four helmets, all had to be a full helmet and chin guard compatible, i took the list down to 2, either a Carrera model or this one.

After speaking to Snow and Rock who informed me that what was on their web site is all they were goner stock (didnt like those on there and i didnt have the catalogue) and it would cost me more for them to get it in, i plumped for the Ravine SC due to its aggresive styling, which is what i wanted. I also purchased the chin guard to.

However, even though this model and the full on through the trees style helmet (forgotten the name of model) are the same, you still need to drill the holes yourself for the chinguard on the SC where as the other one it comes already complete, which when your paying 100 nicker, i dont want to be drilling. Also the guides they give you to stick on, well it eneded up ripping off the lacquer to in certain areas. Not impressed

Anyway, the helmet itself is what i wanted after i stickered it up, aggressive, noticible and it works. Over the last season 03/04 (winter), i was lucky enough to be able to ski for 3 weeks, of which i thought, nah i wont wear it that often - only 3 days i didnt wear it.

Its comfortable and you dont really notice your wearing it. Not compatible with all sunnies or google but i found that it is with Oak A-Frames and 10's. My Juliets were okay but not really that comfy while wearing it.

Another dis-advantage is that due to there being an extra inch or two above your head, its quite easy to forget when sitting down on chair lift to duck your head. Numerous times i ended up hitting myself.

Anyway a great helmet, despite the lacquer coming off and self drilling. Looks crazy with/without chin guard on however my next helmet will probably be a Carrera (when i got a copy of the S&R cat. they had the model in that i wanted - just didnt appear on their site)
Strengths
Chin Guard Compatible
Aggresive styling (if thats your thing)
Controllable air vent
Weaknesses
Interior looks like a cycle helmet
Lacquer peels off if you try and move stickers (that youve just placed on)
If your paying almost a £100 for a helmet, youd expect the holes for the chin guard to come pre-drilled
£95 price tag
